On its return to Argentina, the company performed at the Cultural Centre General San Martin, enjoying popular and critical acclaim being described as “… dazzling the audience with talent, seduction and beauty ”. “Tango Feeling” the new show of Estampas Porteñas also created by Carolina Soler promises to be a spectacular extravaganza of tango dancing, music and sensuality.

The show is presented in two parts. The First part; Milonga has more traditional styles and the Second part; The Show has more glamour and elegance movements and more contemporary Piazzolla´s Tango.

When the five glamorous young couples of Estampas Porteñas dance company take the stage, the sensuality seems to radiate in waves, urged on by the sinuous, passionate sounds of a four-piece tango orchestra playing the music of Argentinean composer Astor Piazzolla, they take the audience on a sizzling, but playful journey from an atmospheric Buenos Aires dance cafe, through modern tango’s daring choreography and breathtaking lifts.

Part of the allure is the numerous, exceptionally well-cut costumes. "Sensuous twists and turns, lightning sharp interaction between a pair of dancers, great music, sexy costumes and glamorous performers make Tango Feeling a show that is full of adrenalin passion and good humour.

Tango Show, Classes & Master Classes

Tango, in its combination of music and dance, is the expression of Buenos Aires and a recognized and adopted culture all over the world.

This dance proposes a communication further than words, is the communion between two bodies, man and women like instruments playing music, creating, rising themselves, dreaming outside.

A couple of teachers will approach us to appreciate music and rhythm; we will learn different steps and representations of this beautiful dance to make an introduction to the dance floor.

Fantasy

Fantasy dance is the stage dance, also called exhibition dance. Is the one we can see in tango shows. It involves open movements and difficult representations and it needs a lot of space to be danced. In this style both partners keep their own balance, which allows them vary the distance between them.

Ballroom

Its representations are more open than Milonga dance. It puts the accent on the representations which form the different steps. Each dancer keeps their own balance without being too far from each other as in Fantasy dance but neither chest to chest as in Milonga dance.

Milonga Dance

Couples dance chest to chest. The representations are short and the rhythm is subtle. The characteristic of this style is the position of the body and the precise interpretation of the music. The couple has got only one axis so they trust each other to the balance. This position can limit the freedom of movements, but after practicing it several times dancers find a different way of freedom: moving each other together like being one person.
